A cross-border deal touching Greece touches three sets of rules — the seller's, the buyer's, and the local. Our role is the local one, run in the language of the others.
We advise on Greek company formation, shareholder agreements, joint-venture companies, and cross-border acquisitions of Greek targets. Most of our M&A work is mid-market: enterprise value €10m–€80m, with a Greek operating company on at least one side of the table.
Many of our M&A matters carry a real-estate leg — a warehouse, a head-office building, a hotel portfolio sitting on the target company's balance sheet. Our real-estate practice is the reason buyers retain us; the diligence that they expected to take six weeks frequently takes three.
We work in English on the deal and in Greek on the registrations. The Greek bar requires that signatures and notarial acts be in Greek; the underlying commercial document does not. We deliver bilingual closing bibles as a matter of course.
We reply within two business days. Initial consultations carry no charge and no commitment.
